Brake motors is the result of the application of an electromagnet brake with negative action on a standard motor. In case of a power loss of the electric motor, the brake starts working causing the motor to stop, ensuring stop precision and speed. Indeed, brake electric motors are suitable for all applications where it is crucial to minimize stopping times and are particularly suitable for use in lifting and handling machinery.
Brake motors are available in the following versions:
- SINGLE-PHASE MOTOR WITH D.C. AND STATIONARY BRAKES - MF series
- THREE-PHASE MOTOR WITH D.C., A.C. AND STATIONARY BRAKES - SF.SFT series
- DOUBLE POLARITY MOTOR WITH D.C. AND STATIONARY BRAKES - DPF series
Brake motors are available with power ratings from 0.12 to kW 15, IEC sizes 63 - 160, polarity as 2, 4, 6 poles. This type of electric motor is supplied with an aluminium housing and available with IP55 / IP65 protection, insulation class F / H and continuous duty.
In addition, single-phase and three-phase electric motors can be supplied in self-ventilated, servo-ventilated versions, as well as supplied with encoders (incremental and absolute) and with a double output shaft.
